Uses of betel leaf in Ayurveda
* Betel leaf has a slightly bitter and spicy taste.
* The betel leaf which comes from Bengal is more useful in medicine in South India which has a slightly black color.
* Use of betel leaves relieves stickiness in the mouth, bad breath, mucus, flatulence, heaviness in the heart, and indigestion.
* People with low appetite can increase their appetite by using it.
* Does not remove the bad substances in the body.
* Cleans the throat and breast.
* When there is fever, cough and mucus, betel leaves are warmed and juice extracted and consumed. Dosage 15ml or 3 teaspoons should be used twice.
* Some people have brain hardening and are not enthusiastic. By giving them twice the above mentioned dosage, they will see amazing results.
* When babies do not have diarrhoea, a betel leaf sheath dipped in castor oil and inserted into the vagina through the anus of the baby is a cure for diarrhoea.
* When a sore throat occurs, apply mustard oil to betel leaves, warm it and apply it on the throat to cure the sore throat.
Uses of betel leaf in Ayurveda
* A little musk in its juice is a cure for hysteria patients.
* When urine is blocked, if you apply castor oil on betel leaves and warm it on the stomach, urine will come out in just 10 minutes. This is what I experimented with.
* When small children have cough and cold and are having trouble breathing, apply castor oil on the leaves as mentioned above, warm them and apply them on the chest.
* Apart from this, when there are problems like hardening of the liver, castor oil is applied to the leaves and warmed and placed under the right armpit, in the liver area, to cure those problems.
* Hot milk on women's breasts drains. The tonsils placed on the scrotum drain.
Note –
* Dried and wormy ones should not be used for medicine.
* Women should not use more. Uterine problems occur.
* The limed leaves are of no medicinal use.
